When a child falls and gets hurt, he or she starts crying from the pain. When the mother sees her child hurt, she suffers more than the child. At that time, if the child controls the pain and tells the mother, “Don’t worry, it does not hurt much,” the mother’s suffering will reduce. Similarly, when we are suffering, God suffers more than us. We complain and express our suffering thereby torturing God even more. If we tell God, “Have faith. Everything will be good, I promise. Don’t worry, my Lord, this is good for me and it, too, shall pass. Relax, You have given me strong shoulders and, with Your grace, I will grow from this experience.” God will be shocked at this crazy child trying to console Him. At least His pain will reduce, even if you are dying inside. — Satish Daryanani
