Sculptors are able to carve ice or stone. Ice carving is easier but does not last for a long time. Carving stone takes a lot of effort and time but, the artist’s work can last for centuries. We have learned a lot about the past because of stone carvings. God came looking for stones to carve His imprint on. As soon as He started chiseling we were unable to bear the pain. He had to stop, as all the unwanted aspects of our lives were being removed to bring out the divine statue hidden within. A little hardship comes and we pray to God for mercy to be free from it. We work hard to chisel our bodies to show our muscles that were hidden under the fat. Let our minds be chiseled to remove the ignorance that has covered our true selves. — Satish Daryanani
