Based on the crime committed, a criminal may get a death sentence. The culprit does not get to reform nor does he get to pay for his crime. He suffers for a few minutes and is then dead. Life can either be a gift or a living death sentence. The worst punishment is to let someone live. Many suicides are committed, as people get fed up with life. We wish people to have long lives, but that could be a curse or a blessing, depending on their attitudes in life. We are all here paying a price, or getting a reward, for what we have done or are doing. Taking away freedom from someone by imprisoning them is a hard punishment. Now that the virus has imprisoned us, we have compassion for prisoners. The worst imprisonment comes when we limit our minds and confine ourselves with blinders as to what life really is. — Satish Daryanani
