If you could predict the future, then you could bet on any game and win. You could buy stocks or real estate and make a lot of money. However, there is a price for that. You will know the ending of every movie before it begins. You will know when you are going to die. You lose the mystery of life. More important than having the gift of knowing your future is to be able to enjoy this very moment. When you watch TV, all the pundits are predicting the elections, stock prices, winner of a sporting event, and so on. Experts are hired to predict the future. No one is hired to teach us how to enjoy the here and the now. Thoughts come to me daily. I cannot even predict tomorrow’s thought. It is for me to enjoy today and learn the lessons I need to learn.
