Looking but Not Seeing

Vision is the faculty, or state of being able, to see. The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend. We look for God but cannot see God sitting on the throne of our hearts. We look at everything but cannot see the hand behind the entire creation. We look from outside but cannot see everything we have from within. We look for love, peace, and happiness, yet we cannot see that we are manifestations of the above. We look at a world that is not perfect, yet we cannot see the perfection within us. We look to fight for our rights, but do not see that God has given us all the rights that He has kept for Himself. We look to save the world, but need to see if we can first save ourselves.— Satish Daryanani
