We must behave as if we are the most worldly persons. Do not reveal to anyone your piety, your spiritual bent of mind, and your devotion to God. Pretend that you are thoroughly worldly. Others should not know that you are spiritually inclined. Then you will not face opposition from anyone and will yet be a part of everyone. Be subtle and gentle in helping others without them knowing they are being helped. Real spirituality is to be ordinary, not to show you are extraordinary.
