When the road is empty and no one is around, we automatically go fast, risking the possibility of losing control of our vehicle. For that reason, speed breakers are put in the roads—so we can slow down and have control of our vehicles. In the same manner, we have thoughts. There is nothing wrong with having them but, when one thought leads to another, we start losing control. Chanting the Lord’s name serves as a speed breaker for the thoughts. Chanting is also a thought but it breaks the flow of the thoughts that unnecessarily take control of our minds. — Satish Daryanani — Satish Daryanani
