In the game of football, when the New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, and coach Bill Belichick were paired together, they won Superbowls. In Basketball, when the San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan were together, they won many championships. When the students leave the coaches, the teams do not make the playoffs. In sports, as in life, a teacher can see the talents of the students and bring out the best in them. Their success goes hand in hand. In spirituality, it is difficult. A teacher can take a good-for-nothing student, pour grace, love, wisdom, and a lot of patience and chisel away all the unwanted qualities to shape the best in them. All the student has to do is to allow the Magician to perform his magic. No championships will be won but, the student must become a champion over the mind. All the credit goes to the teacher, and the student lives with his head down, in humility and gratitude, as he knows he has done nothing to earn the win. Yet, it takes two to tango.— Satish Daryanani
